LIVERPOOL MASS CENTRE – NEW VENUE FROM AUGUST 2010 The Liner Hotel Lord Nelson Street Liverpool L3 5BQ Tel: 0151 7097050 HOLY MASS AT 14.30 HOURS The Liner Hotel is situated behind Lime Street Railway Station on Lord Nelson Street, which lies on one side of the railway station. For those arriving by train, ask for the Lord Nelson Street Exit. On the side-street, turn right and walk up the hill. For those arriving by coach (the Coach Station is marked on the map by the black star), go onto Norton Street, turn right and walk to the junction with London Road. Cross over London Road at the traffic-lights and continue along Seymour Street to the junction with Lord Nelson Street. The hotel is clearly visible from Seymour Street. For those arriving by car through the Mersey Tunnels, follow the signs for Lime Street Railway Station. When you see the Liverpool Empire Theatre on your left, take the side-street immediately past the theatre, which is Lord Nelson Street, and continue up the hill to the hotel. For those coming by car from the M62, proceed down Edge Lane Drive and Edge Lane, through all the sets of traffic-lights, until reaching those at the Towerlands Street junction (you will also see a sign reading ‘St. Mary’s Medical Centre’), where traffic has either to turn left or bear towards the right but is unable to continue straight ahead. At these traffic-lights, take the left-hand turn and follow the road round bearing to the right to go past the Victorian church in its grounds, and to continue down the hill (on Irvine Street) towards the next set of traffic-lights (a large school in its grounds is situated on your left). Here turn left and follows the main roadway round to the right onto Paddington. Go through the traffic-lights there and continue forward down Brownlow Hill through another set of traffic-lights and past the old red-brick building with clock-tower on your right, down to the next set of traffic-lights. Here turn right onto Russell Street. As you go along you will see the back of the LINER Hotel with its name-sign clearly visible in the middle distance on the left. Owing to the traffic-flow system around Lime Street Railway Station, it is important to keep going ahead past the junction with Copperas Hill and to take the left-hand turn off Seymour Street into Lord Nelson Street. The Liner Hotel has a dedicated car-park. Use is gratis for those attending functions at the hotel. Exit passes are available from Hotel Reception. Holy Mass is offered in the Carinthia Suite on the second floor (turn right out of the lift). Confessions are heard before Mass in a room within the suite. Toilets on the same floor will be signposted. It is regretted that refreshments are not served in the suite after Mass, but they are available in the hotel on the ground floor, and at many outlets in the immediate vicinity. ============================= The Society of Saint Pius X has published this visual aid to the rising number of Priests in the Society since it was founded in 1970.
